Our St. Patrick's Day commemorative bill honors St. Patrick, who is know as the patron saint of Ireland because he introduced Christianity there.  Tradition has it that he was born in Britain in the fifth century to Romanized parents, was captured by Irish Raiders at age 16, and spent six years in slavery in Ireland, before escaping and reuniting with his family in Britain. In a dream, he was called to bring Christianity to the Irish. So, he returned to Ireland and traveled far and wide, baptizing chiefs and kings, and converting whole clans to Christianity. He reportedly used the Shamrock, a three-leaf clover, to explain the Holy Trinity. The Shamrock is today the national flower of Ireland.  Get your bill depicting the more-rare lucky four-leaf clover, and follow the rainbow to your pot of gold at its base!  Enjoy the luck of the Irish!  Even though this honorary bill is predominately green, you won't spend much of your green to buy it!  Not even the Four Dollars that is shown as this bill's denomination!
